Every component of “Which Finger Where?” is designed to engage with a student’s pre-existing sense faculty. It is not merely an academic approach, but an experiential one. “Which Finger Where?” introduces new concepts without definition, it is predicated on the notion of experiential synergy. The literary and/or sonic components of music should extend into an individual and vice versa. This results in a “synergetic inter-extensionality” whereby musical concepts become extensions of unique self. Most importantly, the experientially synergetic approach helps to insure that the student’s musical experience is an existentially healthy one.
